Incredible weather leads to incredible photos

I have recently returned from a stunning trip to Skye, Lewis and Harris in Scotland. On the first few days I had a huge amount of rain and wind but this led to some of the most amazing conditions.

Here are some of the images I captured that go along with this YouTube video.

Glencoe. as the rain came through and the sun left

A shot after hiking for 1 hour in the rain down into Glencoe

Stunning light reflected off the wet road creates dramatic B&W image

I love the contrast of dark skies and wet roads when you have a bit of light breaking through

We get a lot of rainbows in the UK but I never seem to be in the right place to get the shot. This time I made sure I was.

The drama just after rain is often the most amazing time to photograph. I like how the rocks reflect more light in all the following shots.

A unique opportunity to capture streams in full flow

I started to look for different subjects to take advantage of the misty conditions that came with heavy rain.

The beautiful beaches of the Isle of Harris look stunning with these dramatic storm clouds.
