Transient Light in Snowdonia

I have just returned from Snowdonia and very changeable weather. One of the things that brings is the ability to shoot all day. Rain and wind bring often the most epic conditions.

One of many shots where the changing light helped to separate the elements in the image. Further down I have a shot of the tree with the sheep underneath that I feel looks a little simpler.

This was on the walk up earlier in the day. The light across Snowdonia mountain range was spectacular.

You can see in the image above the trees have just caught the light. Compare this to the wider image below where the trees are in silhouette.

I liked the broken stone wall in the bottom RHS of this image and with the silhouetted trees I feel that the composition is fairly well balanced.

This is one of my favourites from the morning.

Finally here is my great friend Mads Peter Iversen posing as usual. What a day this was. The composition with the changing light with infinite and I can’t wait to return to the Welsh mountainsides. Actually there is one more image. This rustic old house below.
