Cornwall | Part 1 | Sennen and Land’s End

I have shared some of the images I took when I visited Sennen and Land’s End below.

This is one of my favourite images from the day as it really captured the essence of the weather and light.

As the rain came through (a common pattern for the day) James was walking back down a deserted beach and I managed to capture this. I liked the layers going through the image.

When we followed the coastline path we were hit by more rain and some incredible conditions. The beauty of daytime shooting is that you often don’t need a tripod and can therefore quickly react to scenes like these.

I spoke about this in the video but you need to experiment when shooting moving elements like rain, snow, water and grasses. In the case of the scene below with the backlit rain 1/250s would work the best I feel. Click on the images below to see larger versions.

Mads stayed on the clifftop in the high winds to get his shots of the sea arch. What a day!

Here are a few other images from the day shooting. It goes to show how much you can do in the middle of the day and especially when the conditions are so transient like we had.
